Hulk Smash Party

We had a Hulk Smash Party for Natey’s 3rd birthday this year. It was a fun theme and we all enjoyed it.

The cake was really fun to make and delicious! Moist chocolate cake with cream cheese icing! Here’s the recipe I use: Lekker chocolate cake recipe
Thanos Piñata to smash (inside was a box of smarties and packet of flings for each child)
Balloons from Elmonique
Smash box for party packs- Each child had to smash open a circle to get their party packs
Shirts for the cousins from GSS

On the 1st of September a little Hulk toy came to help us count down the days until Natey’s birthday. Every morning little hulk would be hiding in a different room in the house and the kids were so excited to find him every morning. Every day there was a new mission or task they had to do and he brought small “prizes” like toothpaste, cookies or new bowels. On the 25th of September, the hulk was on top of Natey’s cake.

Leo had a Blaze piñata for his 3rd Blaze birthday party so I made a Thanos pinata for Natey to smash for his hulk party. Everyone dressed up as a superhero or wore green. Marcus became a real hulk by painting himself green! (luckily no anger issues)

Chantal gave me the idea that the kids could smash jelly. She also gave me a jelly mold. On the day of the party was my 3rd attempt to remove the jelly from the mold… And it was finally a success. (On 2 previous times the jelly came out all broken- much to the kids delight because they got to eat it all!) I previously also sprayed the mold with Spray and Cook and put it in luke warm water before removing. But the 3rd time I made sure that the jelly water was cool enough before I poured it into the mold- so that it doesn’t dissolve the Spray and Cook.

We braaied wors, had garlic bread, some salads and cake for pudding.

Natey got a hulk suit for his birthday. He loves dressing up.
