February 💛heART Challenge – Week 1

Welcome to Our February heART Creativity Challenge!💛
I’m so excited to be adding some extra creativity to my life! I hope you’ll find time to do the same!
Let’s shake off the Janu-worries and bring some color, imagination, and playfulness into February.
Many studies have shown that engaging in creative activities can actually reduce stress, boost mood, and even improve brain function.
“Creativity is an act of faith. When we create, we connect with ourselves in new ways, and that’s a beautiful thing.” Julia Cameron – Author of The Artist’s Way
How this Challenge Works…
Every week in February, I’ll share a topic or theme. You can interpret it any way you like—write a poem, take a photo, paint, doodle, crochet or make a collage. Then share with others what you’ve come up with.
It’s February so perhaps you could even give your picture/artwork to someone else to brighten their day or tell them how much they mean to you.
There are no rules, just possibilities!
The thing is, don’t turn this challenge into a task. If it starts feeling like work, or like it’s dragging you down, take a step back. This is about discovering joy, not adding more pressure to your ‘to do’ list.
Do what you can with what you have. Try something new and allow yourself to think a little differently.
I can’t wait to see what you create!
Here is this week’s topic: Hearts & Hands

Here are some points to remember:
🔹 Respect & Encouragement: Be kind and supportive. This is a judgment-free space. It’s about the internal process, not the outcome.
🔹 Stay on Topic: Posts should relate to the current week’s challenge. Put your post into context if it needs some explaining. 🌻
🔹 Posting Days: The WhatsApp group is open for sharing Friday to Sunday. New topics will be put on the group on a Sunday. If you’re not part of the WhatsApp group and would like to be, let me know, otherwise you can still take part via Instagram.
🔹 Original Work: Share your own creations—writing, photos, drawings, any medium you choose. You may use AI and apps but obviously don’t just let AI do your whole task for you because that’s pointless🤣
🔹 Participation is Voluntary: No pressure! Engage as much or as little as you like. Include your kids if you want. You may do more than one artwork for the week if you feel inspired.
🔹 Instagram Sharing: Post your work on Instagram @jam4joypics with #jam4joycom.
🌿Allow yourself to enjoy the creative process! 🌿🎨🌻
