Dinos and Legendary Rugby in Bloem
“Beer and rugby are more or less synonyms.”
There was a lot happening in Bloemfontein this weekend! We went to the Dino-Expo at the Show Grounds. It was interesting, but there were a lot of people when we went and some of the dinosaurs seemed a bit neglected. (I know they are not real dinosaurs… But there were a few broken tails and parts that were supposed to move but didn’t.) We weren’t that impressed with the dinos. I really liked the snakes though. They were also at the Dino-Expo.
The rugby was fun! There were sooo many people at the stadium and well known singers like Van Pletzen and Biggy! It was full moon and such a vibrant atmosphere. South Africa defeated Portugal but the Portuguese did have a few impressive moves. And so many supporters!
We celebrated Leo’s birthday at the Spur in Langenhoven Park: Silver Chief Spur. I asked a few people about a nice restaurant for kids in Bloemfontein and this Spur came out tops.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Leo’s birthday! Also, thank you to everyone who phoned and sent messages and love.
