What a Winterful Day!

Just go with the snow!

It is freezing cold in Ladybrand today due to all the snow in Lesotho. It even snowed in Ladybrand for a little while on Sunday morning! Marcus woke us all up at 5 am to come see the snow fall – wow!

On Saturday evening, Godfrey phoned and suggested we go find the snow in Lesotho on Sunday. We drove about 100 km from the Maseru border towards Mohale Dam. Some parts of the road had ice on it, and some parts had snow. A 4×4 is recommended!

The snow was soft, fluffy, and very cold – it was so exciting! Leo absolutely loved it! I think August and Natey were getting a bit too cold after snow got into their boots! We don’t really have snow-proof clothes!

We tried to build a snowman, but only managed quite a small one. We remembered not to eat the yellow snow.

“The snowflakes fall gently, like whispers from Winter’s heart.”

It was quite a thick layer of snow!

These two liked the snow for a bit and then decided that it’s too cold so went and waited for us in the car.
Leo loved it!
Our snowman… You got to use your imagination! 🤣
Could it be the Lesotho Yeti’s footprint? Or maybe the tokoloshe?
