Natey’s Ninja Party

Ichi, ni, san, yon! One, two, three, four!

Dressed up as Lego Ninjago’s Lloyd
Happy Birthday, Natey!
Thank you to Linley for buying the number 4 sparkler for the cake.

It was Natey’s Ninja party this weekend. He has been so excited counting down the days for this event! And the day finally arrived!

The ninja cake was chocolate and vanilla as per Nathan’s request. The cake was indeed very yummy because by the end of the party there wasn’t much left of it…I hope everyone got some. Leo seemed to be the cake keeper because everytime I looked for him he was sitting by the cake. I think he might have been the main cake eater too.

Nathan also wanted lollipops. So, to eat there was cake, cupcakes, lollipops, candy floss and chips. We ordered pizza, but the day before I realized that his party is on National Braai Day so we asked Oup to also braai some wors for us.

Nathan was very shy to interact with his friends at first but he eventually warmed up. I think all the kids had lots of fun playing and jumping on the jumping castle.

In a flash the party was over! Thank you to everyone who came and made the day extra special for our Ninja Nathan!

Also, for all the birthday gifts! He has been really spoilt.

Thank you, Dakkie for the big number 4 balloon.
Asking Nathan to pose for a photo is the ultimate ninja challenge.
Almost posed for the photo… Stand a bit closer… Okay, nevermind.
Some Ninja training organized by Sensei Fook: zipline, ball skills and Grandpa Jeff’s obstacle course. The final prize is a bag of candy floss. (Natey is running away because I tried to take a group photo)
He is happily posing because I asked him for a photo with Oumie. (so he posed with Linley)
Here I asked him for a photo with Linley.(So he posed with Oumie)
Both kids wanted to dress up as Ninjago Lloyd. Luckily I saw Lloyd has a few different outfits.
I put up the happy birthday poster, then Leo got excited and started sticking alot of other posters and papers to the wall. The balloons stood sturdy with the full cans of tin food holders.
The icing is cream cheese icing which is really delicious. The fondant is marshmallow fondant which I made from white Marshmallows, water, icing sugar and food colouring. I also made chocolate lego men with a mold.
I hid Smarties and astros inside the cake.
Ninja fun
Cutting the cake.
Grandpa Jeff’s obstacle course. He says back in the day this game (sort of like the floor is lava) used to be called Shipwreck.
4 years old!
Balloons, cake, presents and friends… What a fun celebration!
New sword from Linley. Mo’s tail photobombing.
The birthday countdown calendar. Every day Nathan got to flip a flap and reveal a different Ninjago character. On the Ninjago card day I hid something small in the house for them.
