Week 4 – February heART Challenge

“Look up: there’s always a sky full of possibility waiting for you to notice it.”

Our them for week 3 was Look Up.  What beauty and wonder we found while looking up! Here are some creativity that was shared.

Our topic for week 4 is at the end of this post.😝

I love this creativity!
So mooi!
Some creative fun:  Me and Natey painted this pot last night, so I wondered how I could incorporate it into our theme… High on pot? Nope, pot is high, high on Natey’s head. (Also, the flower looks like a sun, and Natey painted that cactus, and cactuses like the sun. You will see the sun when you look up.)
This looks incredible
Wow
Love this!  Here’s the link to the full Instagram video
Look up!
Pareidolia – the word for seeing shapes and figures in clouds.
This is from a dream I had on the 28th of January.  I was standing with others on a balcony with greek style pillars. Looking out we saw the full moon and the sun shining bright. The sun and the moon were ahead, behind and to the sides. There were also sun and moon symbols drawn on the building we were on. In the dream I thought: Wow, this is beautiful.

“Play energizes us and enlivens us. It eases our burdens. It renews our natural sense of optimism and opens us up to new possibilities.”

Stuart Brown, M.D. (Founder of the National Institute for Play)

Here is our topic for week 4, the last week of this creativity challenge:

Week 4: Play Time!

Play sparks creativity, relieves stress, and helps us stay open to life’s possibilities—no matter our age.

See what you can come up with this week. Maybe try something new. Or try something silly just because it might be fun. Make clay, arrange the food on your plate differently, colour in a picture.

Tips for Incorporating Play into Adult Life:

Schedule Play Breaks: Just as you’d schedule a meeting or workout, block off time for a playful activity (e.g., a game, doodling, dancing).

Try a New Hobby: Pick something purely for enjoyment, not for productivity—like painting, puzzles, or flower arranging.

Embrace Childlike Curiosity: Ask “what if?” and follow where your imagination leads, even if it feels silly.

Be Spontaneous: Allow moments of unplanned fun—turn on music and dance, play with a pet, or explore a new place.

“The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct.”

Carl Jung
