Week 2 – February heART Challenge

Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump

Our creative topic for week 1 was Hearts and Hands. I so enjoyed what everyone shared. Here are a few of week 1’s creations. Scroll to the bottom for week 2’s theme…😋

Week 1
I got all the staff at the clinic I work to make a heart with their hand and then took a pic of them. We laughed a lot doing this! Some people weren’t sure how to hold their hands. We laughed at how older and younger people seem to make heart hands differently.

I have printed out the collage and will give it to the staff as a card next week.

It was fun!😊❤️🙌
Hearts and hands, a gentle pair,
Connected by love, beyond compare.
The heart beats strong, with emotions deep,
While hands reach out, in a loving sleep.
The heart feels pain, and joy, and fear,
And hands respond, with a tender tear.
Hands craft and create, with skill and art,
They shape and mould, with a careful hand,
And bring to life, a work of love to stand.
So let us cherish, these hearts and hands,
For they are the keys to a love so true,
And a bond between me and you.
*My heart in your hand*

I dreamt you held my heart in your hand
Shaping it like a sandcastle in the sand
On it you wrote our life’s music sheet
My heart galloped and crescendoed not skipping a beat
You whispered into it good hopes, good dreams
Of joy and adventure, of mountains and streams
As you turn my heart with your key
Each chamber, each room – a discovering of me…
O be careful where you tred, how you move throughout the land
And always remember my heart is in your hand

Last night we watched My Fair Lady at MonteCasino. The show was absolutely amazing! There were so many familiar songs like ‘I could have danced all night’ and ‘Take me to the church on time’, but of course the words stuck in my head are: “Lots of chocolate for me to eat…” 🤣🤣🤣.

Seeing that this week is also Valentines day, here is week 2’s topic…

Week 2 Creativity Challenge

Remember, we are focusing on the process of being CREATIVE: you may draw, paint, write, photograph and create! Eating does not directly classify as being creative…. Unless you can somehow justify it.
