Happy Minecraft Birthday

Minecraft- A World where anything is possible.

We had fun celebrating Leo’s birthday with a small party on Friday and a Spur outing today! It was a busy weekend with the Dino-Expo and  Rugby in Bloem too.

He loves Minecraft so he decided to have a Minecraft Party. Have you ever tried to play Minecraft!? I tried to play with Natey who is 5 years old! He had built a whole house by the time I got my Minecraft guy to put one block down! It requires concentration!

The Minecraft characters always look so weird to me! I’m amazed how, not only my kids, but all of my kids’friends too, know the names of the different blocks and elements… I’m still trying to understand the difference between a zombi, a creeper, a cow and Steve.

The TNT minecraft Cake… I was initially critical because it didn’t come out exactly as what I planned, but the kids loved it!
Minecraft Balloons and bunting from Temu. The soft-toy zombie hid in a different place in our house every day in July. Every Morning the kids have to find it.
The birthday countdown – minecraft squares. Leo had to move one square every day, until no more squares were left.
Matthew made my day when he ran to his mom when she came to fetch him and told her about the rice krispie creepers on the cake!
Blow out the TNT!
You’re TNT! You’re dynamite!
The Cake was a vanilla buttermilk cake with cream cheese icing. Pigs and creepers on the cake were rice krispie treats and the square ground blocks were Marie Biscuit squares.

Here are the recipes for the Rice Krispie treats and Marie Biscuit squares.

Happy birthday to you!
It’s great to be eight.
Cake had different coloured layers.
These are foldable minecraft crafts, printed, cut out and stuck together.
After running around a lot, the party goers played some minecraft.
Creep on over to a minecraft party!
