Little Rock Birthday Camping

“Life’s better when you add fresh air, trees, good friends and a braai.”

Why travel far when there is a perfect camping venue right on your doorstep!? Little Rock Resort in Ladybrand pleasantly surprised me with their camping grounds and facilities.

It was such a good idea to have a camping weekend so close to home to celebrate Lionel’s birthday.

Oup arranged the spitbraai and Carol organized the snacks and salads. There was beer and gin&tonic on tap. They set up their caravan and friends joined the camping festivities. Granny Geets and the Barkhuizens even camped with even though they were about 1km from their homes.

The Friday evening Granny Geets made her famous meatball curry and the Sunday we ordered pizzas from Little Rock Restaurant. The Saturday everyone grazed on various patés, cheeses, biscuits and fruits. Supper was spit-braaied meat and salads. For pudding we had ice-cream on sugar cones with chocolate sauce!

It was a lekker camping and kuier weekend.

To a man who enjoys living life to the fullest, may this year bring many more happy adventures! Happy Birthday, Oup!
