Solar System Birthday
“My world revolves around you!”
Leo chose to have a solar system birthday this year… He decided this like 2 weeks after he turned 3! And he didn’t change his mind. He also said he wants ice-cream scoops representing the different planets in cones.
His cake was a chocolate cake with planets (cake pops) on top. My first batch of cake pops were major cake flops! I put way too much icing into the mix. Then I follwed this cake and icing recipe with the instructions and they worked out well. Good cake pop recipe.
On the first of July I got a space robot to help count down the days till Leo’s birthday. Everyday Astro, the space robot, would hide in a different room in the house with some puzzle pieces and a “prize” (juice, some smarties, custard) for Leo and Nate. The puzzle was finished the day before his birthday. The kids were not allowed to touch Astro until Leo’s birthday.
