Do you also feel as if 2014 went by really quickly!? I almost can’t believe it’s 2015 already!

We had such a relaxing time with the family at our place over the festive season. We swam a lot and ate a lot. In the words of our friend Petrus: “Every meal was a cheat meal!” But, although the food was not always the healthiest, it was always delicious! Jeff showed us that he is still king of the tennis court and our pups, Chilli and Rex, got so much attention they seem bored now with everyone gone. It was a great way to celebrate christmas and to end 2014.

Now it’s 2015! Have you made any new years resolutions? (Not just a “to do” list for the first 2 weeks of January!) A new year brings with it new hope and a chance for new beginnings.

“May you remain motivated to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
May you have strength and support to work through trials which may come your way.
May happiness and good fortune be yours in abundance.
And may you enjoy and appreciate the life that this year brings.” -J.M.F

Wishing you all a happy and prosperous 2015. 😊

My new year’s resolutions are as follows:

I’m planning on getting one of those nice new snazzy cars – I think a BM or Merc or Lambourgini or somingthing like that.

    2. I’m planning on a world tour on board a luxury liner

    3. I’m planning on purchasing a beautiful exotic island and inviting you all to a wonderful year long vacation there.

    4) I’m planning on…… Oh well the list goes on and on and I do not intend to stop after two weeks into the new year…..

Its going to be a great new year for everyone…. Trust me.

Lots of love to you all

Happy New Year. I still follow your entertaining blog with interest, especially now that it seems we will be spending a lot of time in Southern Africa over the next several years after our daughter and family move to Mozambique in May. My one and only visit to SA was in 1984, so I’m way overdue for another. But first a trip to SE Asia (mainly Burma) next month.
Where are you guys heading next? Hope all is well. Regards. John Chapman (Vancouver BC)

Thanks for the message, John. Good to hear from you! Yes, you are certainly way overdue to visit Southern Africa- and I’m sure you will enjoy it too. We have friends getting married in Namibia end of March so looking forward to spend some time there. Enjoy your Asia trip!:)
